Privacy

We do not want your data. Searching this site requires no account, no email address and no name, and nothing you do here is tracked or sold.

Who is responsible

CramGoat is operated by AR Infotech, Bengaluru, India, which is the data controller for anything described here. Reach us at our contact page.

What we store

One cookie, and only if you save something. When you add a programme to your shortlist we store a cookie called cg_list containing the identifiers of the programmes you saved. It lasts six months, it lives in your browser, and it is the only way the shortlist works without an account.

Clear your browsing data and it is gone — from your device and from us, because we never had a copy.

Your answers to the six questions are held in the address bar, not on our servers. That is why you can share a results link with someone: the link is the answers.

What we do not do

  • No analytics. No Google Analytics, no tag manager, no pixel, no third-party script of any kind.
  • No accounts, so no names, no email addresses, no passwords.
  • No advertising, no retargeting, no data sold or shared with anyone.
  • No commission from any institution — what we show you is not influenced by who pays us, because nobody does.

Server logs

Our web server keeps ordinary access logs — the page requested, the time, the browser, and the IP address the request came from. This is what any web server does, it is needed to keep the site running and to spot abuse, and it is not linked to anything else because there is nothing to link it to.

If you write to us

If you report a fact as wrong, we store what you told us and the page it was about. You do not have to give a name or an email address to do it, and the form does not ask for one.

Your rights

Under the UK and EU GDPR you have the right to ask what personal data an organisation holds about you, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted. In our case the answer is short: we hold no personal data about visitors, because we never collect any. The shortlist cookie is on your device and you can delete it yourself at any time.

Data about institutions

The facts we publish about universities and courses come from official national registers, and every one carries a quote, a link to its source and the date we read it. If you work at an institution and something we publish about you is wrong, tell us and we will fix it — you do not need an account for that either.

Changes

If this ever changes — if accounts arrive, or anything is measured — this page changes with it, in the same release. A privacy policy that lags the software is not a policy.
